Certificate III in Hairdressing, WRH30106
Certificate IV in Hairdressing, WRH40106
Diploma of Hairdressing Salon Management, WRH50106
The Certificate III and Certificate IV in Hairdressing provides training for individuals seeking employment in the hairdressing industry. The primary role of both certificates is to equip students with the knowledge, skills and professional attitude essential for the professional hairdresser.
Graduates will be able to utilise the knowledge and expertise gained from specialist areas of study such as communication skills, design concepts ( long and short hair) and classical, casual and avant guarde cutting techniques. Further, students will also develop expertise and become proficient in style concepts, fashion cutting, chemical and image creation and colouring, and also gain an understanding of how business principles operate in the real world.
The Australian College of Hair Design & Beauty delivers courses from the National Hairdressing Training Package. There are three credential exit points which may be achieved:
Certificate III in Beauty Services, WRB30104
Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy, WRB40105
Diploma of Beauty Therapy - Personalised Pathway, WRB50105
The Beauty Therapy courses provide training for individuals seeking professional employment in the beauty industry. Study in the many areas of beauty could lead to employment in a beauty salon, a spa complex, a hairdressing salon, a pharmacy, a department store or a health and fitness centre. The Beauty Therapy courses also qualify students to work as specialists in one of the many high demand areas of beauty such as nail technology, make-up artistry and natural therapies.
A beauty therapist offers many services ranging from cosmetic make-up, manicures, pedicures and waxing to the therapeutic/physical treatments of electrolysis and lymphatic, sport and remedial massage. Students will also gain knowledge of how business principles operate in the real world. The course includes 266 hours of work experience that can be completed in the College's simulated salon or in a salon of the student's choice.
The salon of the future, a 'Day Spa', is a localised place where stressed and exhausted clients can visit for a quick, refreshing treatment, that puts life back into perspective. A day spa provides luxury, health and relaxation and offers a quality pampering experience, with extra attention to detail. A day spa is viewed as an extension to salon services.
We are proud of the high reputation our graduates enjoy and are committed to the continuous improvement of your learning experience. This is why The Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty leads its competitors with the most modern facilities and equipment.
