The Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty takes seriously the need to train Hairdressers and Beauty Therapists to a high professional standard, with the knowledge and competencies which would enable a graduate to be part of the globalisation of the Beauty Therapy and Hairdressing industries. The College seeks to accommodate differences in individual rights and promote social justice.
The Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty will ensure that access to programs is available to all persons regardless of age, colour, gender, race or social ethnic background and no discrimination will be entered into by the College.
The Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty is accredited to the highest standards of both industry and government.
We offer training in hairdressing and beauty and deliver courses from the National Hairdressing Training Package and the National Beauty Training Package. The College also offers several short courses which provide a basis for further study.
Courses can be studied on both a full-time and part-time basis. The majority of our courses are Austudy, Abstudy and Youth Allowance approved.
The small and interactive classes make the Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty unique. Class sizes are kept to a minimum of ten to twelve students per teacher, allowing for substantial one-on-one contact. In addition to attending theory classes, students have significant opportunities to obtain practical experience working with clients under the supervision of their teachers in the College's salon.
The Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty is proud of the high reputation that its graduates enjoy and its staff are committed to the continuous improvement of the students' learning experience. The College works in conjunction with a network of salons across Australia, providing graduates with the best opportunities to gain employment.
In addition to the main campus located at 234 Flinders Lane in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, the College also operates four campuses located throughout regional Victoria in Bendigo, Mildura, Shepparton and Wodonga.
Prospective students who are interested in pursuing a career in either hairdressing or beauty are welcome to make an appointment to visit the College and meet with our staff to discuss their course options.
